Where kids learn to live close to the land.

A working farm camp for ages 3–8. 6 weeks. June 22 – July 31. Led by a team with over 25 years of early childhood expertise. A summer rooted in the conviction that food, community, and childhood are inseparable.

A Real Childhood Summer

There are no worksheets here. No scheduled enrichment. Kids arrive, put on their boots, and spend the day doing the things children are supposed to do. Digging, building, tending animals, cooking, getting dirty, making things, and playing freely in a space designed to let them.

Every day is carefully held by educators who have decades of experience working with young children. We built Humble Heart with kids in mind. The space, the animals on our farm, the crops we grow all take the kids who work and learn with us into consideration.

  • Humble Heart summer camp program gives kids the space and time they need to relax and enjoy real food.

    Child Centered Curriculum.

Animals and Farm Care. Ducks, chickens, rabbits, bees. Daily chores are real and the kids help as much as they like.

Garden and Wild Food. Harvesting, foraging for medicinal plants, and eating what they grow.

Art and Making. Natural fabric dyeing, loose parts, open-ended art with real materials.

Woods and Water Hiking, stream play, unstructured time in the trees — appropriately risky.

Local Field Trips (New). Weekly outings neighboring farms, hiking trails, community spots.

  • A sign made by a child showcasing the food at the farm market they lead each week.

    Camper Led Friday Farm Markets

We believe that understanding food justice should start young. Each week our campers co-create a pay-what-you-can farmers market open to the community. They harvest herbs, collect eggs, make flower bouquets and set up the tables. All proceeds benefit our Free Community Fridge Project, because at Humble Heart we believe that all people deserve access to chemical free, life giving food. This year we open the space up to families for picnics after the market. Every week during camp from 3p - 5p.
